12/12/2023 0 Comments Gen 6 momotype steel team![]() The ones I'm considering changing are Braviary and Diggersby but open to other suggestions. Druddigon is especially nice for being able to weaken teams and open holes for other team members to take advantage of.Building a normal monotype gen 8 team and had mild success with what I've got listed here, but I want to improve it if possible. That is my team, believe it or not it has been getting good results. With heavy duty boots it doesn't take stealth rock damage, which I find more important than lefties or life orb. It also has icicle spear for breaking subs, sturdy, and sash, as well as fusion bolt for nice boltbeam coverage. The dragon dance substitute set is one of the hardest to beat, as if it is faster you can't status it, and with 56 HP EVs it's substitutes have 101 health, meaning a seismic toss can't break them. One of the best picks on dragon right now.įinally, we have arguably the strongest Pokemon allowed right now, Kyurem-Black. Scarf pult is one of the best revenge killers out there, and even though it isn't as strong, with only 100 base special attack, it can do loads to a weakened team or mons that are weak to it's moves. It can outspeed the aforementioned mons, as well as outspeed most scarf users. With the introduction of lots of faster threats, like Spectrier and Regieleki, scarf dragapult has become a viable option. There isn't much to say, Dragonite is a powerful mon. I also have defog over roost or extra coverage since I have no hazard removal. With multiscale it can live stronger hits and get off a free dragon dance, allowing it to sweep through teams with the combination of dual wingbeat and earthquake, providing good coverage for most mons. I also like Haxorus design-wise, more so than Garchomp.ĭragonite is one of the most beloved Pokemon, and it isn't half bad in competitive too. I guess it can also hit levitate users with earthquake. I have basically no reason to run Haxorus but I am doing it anyways, and poison jab is nice for fairies. I'm not using dragon dance since I have two other dancers on my team, so I opted for a swords dance scale shot set. That sounds like a lot, because it is, but Haxorus has a better (in my opinion) ability in mold breaker and has access to poison jab and dragon dance. The main benefits that Garchomp has over Haxorus is that it is bulkier, faster, stronger, has ground stab, and can use stealth rocks. So, Haxorus is basically the worse version of Garchomp. I like choice band since it still does a lot even if you are slower (85 bp is not weak, especially with strong jaw), and it takes on more of a wallbreaking role, which my team doesn't really have. It is pretty straightforward, the main idea is you use banded strong jaw boosted fishious rends to, well, rend the team. Druddigon is a great way to weaken the enemy team by spreading paralysis and chipping down mons if they are unprepared, though it does get beaten by fairies.ĭracovish. I keep on repeating this until I am about to die, and if they are using contact moves they have likely already taken lots from rough skin + rocky helmet, so I can endure just to get that extra chip. ![]() You can then glare the next mon, and if they go back to the first mon they just take more rocks damage. After it sets rocks and glares the opponent, it can die, but assuming they were setting up their own hazards or stat boosting moves, you can dragon tail them to phaze them out. Glare is the best paralysis inducing move, as it is 100% accurate and can hit ground types. I researched multiple Druddigon sets and found this one, it is usually my lead and has performed well. It's stats are definitely not bad, and it gets three great abilities in rough skin, sheer force, and mold breaker. It features Druddigon and Haxorus, two Pokemon that are not typically seen on dragon teams.ĭruddigon is an underrated pick on dragon teams. However, I wanted to make a team with lesser used dragons, namely Druddigon, which is one of my favorite Pokemon. Dragon is a very powerful type in monotype due to it's strong Pokemon and good resists, and I have several dragon type teams.
